2 lbs. lean ground beef
1/2 lb. bacon
1 pkg. Lawreys meatloaf seasoning
3/4 cup water
3 eggs
1 1/2 slice bread finely crumbled
Sauce
1 1/2 cup ketchup
2 1/2 cup brown sugar
Mix water and seasoning packet. Stir and let stand. In glass casserole pan, mix meat, eggs, bread crumbs and then add in the seasoning mix. Mix well and then pat into the caserole pan (oval casserole dish or extra large meatloaf pan.
Mix the brown sugar and ketchup together and spread over the meat. Line bacon slices side by side on top to cover the sauce. Cook covered at 350 degrees for 50 minutes, then 10-15 minutes uncovered. Spoon off the grease before serving.
